Through out his years service he served as the director, secretary treasure of the chemical company as well as the chief auditor of the plants and its subsidiaries. Mr. Griffith became active in civic affairs as well. He served three terms as trustee of the Village of Ford, as a member of the Wyandotte School Board and as director of the Wyandotte Savings Bank. The masonic Order and the First Methodist Church benefitted from his sincere interest. The comfortable brick residence and attractive park like grounds were enjoyed by the members of his family - his wife, Olive, son Francis, and daughter Oliva McLeod, until his death in 1936.
